WHAT YOU CAN CHECK

AI detection for writing and photos

Review an article, an essay, or an image before you share it. Detection adds a signal to your review; it cannot prove who created the content.

Free preview and plan details

AI text checker

Paste writing or import a .txt file to look for AI-generated text. Live reports include an overall signal and passage details to help you review the result. This is AI detection, not a search for copied sources or a plagiarism check.

AI image checker

Wondering whether a photo is AI-generated? Upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP to review an image signal and available metadata. Check the original source too: missing metadata does not prove AI use, and editing or compression can affect detection.

01

Bring your content

Paste 600–10,000 characters of writing or upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image. You can also start with a sample.

02

Look at the signals

Read a detection signal and passage details for live text scans, or review the signals in an image report.

03

See the bigger picture

Understand what a result can tell you, where its limits are, and what still needs a human judgment.

CLARITY, WITH CONTEXT

A signal.
Not the whole story.

Content deserves more than a yes or no. Detection can offer clues, but a score alone should never be the final word.

  • Room for uncertainty. An inconclusive result is a useful result.
  • Evidence you can understand. Clear signals, with their limitations alongside them.
  • Your judgment matters. Consider the source, the context, and the original content.

How we handle your content
Can AI Checker tell me if something is AI-generated?

When live detection is configured, text and images are analyzed by our detection service. Reports show an AI signal, not proof of authorship. Video checking is coming soon. Without live configuration, text and images use demo reports.

How do I check text or an image for AI generation?

For live scans, paste 600–10,000 characters of text or import a .txt file. Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP under 4 MB and at least 256 × 256 pixels. The image demo accepts files up to 20 MB. Video uploads and analysis are not available yet. You can also explore built-in text and image samples.

Is my content uploaded or stored?

When you click Analyze in live mode, your text or original image is sent through our server to our detection provider. We do not save submitted text or image files. We save scan reports, an input digest and credit records to your account so retries do not charge twice. Demo inputs stay in your browser. Downloaded reports are saved to your device when you export one.

What does the AI signal score mean?

Live reports convert the detection service’s human score to an AI signal: 100 minus the human score. Signals of 80 or higher are labeled likely AI-generated, 25 or lower are low signal, and the middle range is inconclusive. These are product thresholds, not validated probabilities. Demo scores are illustrative.

How accurate are AI detectors?

AI detectors can produce false positives and miss AI-generated content. A low signal is not proof of human authorship. Content can be edited, compressed, or created using tools a detector does not recognize. Provenance and the original context matter too.

Is AI Checker free to use?

Sign in to run live scans. New accounts receive 20 free credits. Text scans cost 0.028 credits per input word, rounded up, and image scans cost 9 credits. Credits are reserved before analysis and returned if the scan fails. Demos do not require an account or use credits. Paid plans are coming soon.
